During twenty years teaching and training in schools and commerce I had always been a firm supporter of complimentary therapies. My interest grew further still with my studies in yoga and meditation and I went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling, a further two years training in Couple Counselling, as well as training in CBT, (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). I am currently extending my professional qualifications to include Adoption Counselling.
MY work includes a private counselling practice, clients for the NHS, counselling students in school and teaching and training. I also work with teachers.
At Counselling Southeast I work with a range of clients, individuals and couples, including young people and students.
People may seek help for a variety of reasons. Those for which someone intitially comes to counselling are not always the reasons for the problems. Often, through exploring gently with the client what is going for them, other issues may surface too. By addressing these issues, current problems may disappear or diminish or begin to resolve themselves. Some of the reaons people decide to go for counselling include:

- panic attacks
- PTSD
- work related stress
- addictions
- eating disorders
- self-harm
- abuse
- personal stress
As a qualified teacher and trainer I also run workshops on Eating Disorders and Self-Harm.
Currently I run clinics from Tonbridge and Sidcup within Kent and close to the borders of East Sussex and South East London. Both clinics are within easy reach of train and bus services, as well as being easy to reach by car from the M25, M20, A20 and A21.
